For genomics, we had to do a little research, and answer some questions. and pair up some chromosomes from today, sort them out into groups of 2 and find out why our chromosomes we're 2 different colours, if you would like to find out more about us pairing chromosomes with each-other. then tell me and I maybe do some more research about pairing chromosomes.

Today for genomics we had a quiz with Glen brae and Glen innes intermediate block, 

We all got sorted into groups of 5 or 6, When they arrived we got sorted into groups and we introduced ourselves and we had pop quizzes. and got spot prizes. I was very shock today because of all the hard work that me and my team did, I really can't believe that my team actually made it in, to the winning spot. I was so proud of them, and I was just filled with relief. And I would also like to say a huge thank to the teachers for taking time, and putting lots of their hard work into this little event, I was very entertained and can't wait to see if anymore of these stuff happen again.

How to be a good Son or Daughter

Introduction : Are you a good son or daughter?.. To be a good child, you’ll have to look after your parents, be more helpful around the house, do more chores without being asked, and be grateful for what you have.

Topic Sentence : To be a good child, you need to be more careful and listen to what you say to your elders or when your around them. Example : Listening and helping your parents will make them think that you actually care about what they do for you, what their thinking and that your trustworthy. 

Topic Sentence: By being a good child you could take responsibility whenever your parents are not around and be a good role model for your little siblings. 

Example : Whenever their busy cooking, reading or not around you could show responsibility and take over their spot to not make them worried.

Topic Sentence : Being grateful is another key to being a good child, No matter what your parents buy for you or cook, if you don’t like it, show that you still appreciate what they went through to get you where you are now and the love and care they give you. Example : If your parents brought you something you didn’t want or you didn’t like, you should still show them that you care and appreciate what they do for you, be thankful.   

Conclusion : To be a good child you need to be caring, helpful, honest, trustworthy, grateful and appreciate what your parents do for you.

Microscope Fun With Dr Thierry

Today for genomics we had Dr Thierry Lints talk to us about microscopes, and how to work with it, when he was done telling us all the information about what to do with the microscopes our class had to go in to groups of 3 or 4 and work with one microscope. We all had different kinds of creatures and cells to look at through the microscope. Thierry taught us lot about these microscopes and how to use them, and gave us a lot of little cells to investigate on.

Welcome to my scratch animation, it's not quite finished yet but this is what I have. As you can see it will  show you many places you could visit. My favourite place in the world is, Spain because there are many things you could explore in that country. The fun bit about this experience was when I got to create many places within these continents. If you find my animation entertaining, you could try and make your own its not that hard.

Why we need school holidays

   Why do students need holidays ?

Introduction : Students need more school holidays to properly rest their brains and have a break from all the learning they do each term. This essay talks about why kids need more holidays.  

Paragraph 1 : Students can learn lots in the holidays. Students can still learn in the holidays by meeting new people and finding out or asking new things about them, or maybe travelling around the country and learning new cultures, if not then you could visit the park, beach or the museum and found out things about where you're going.   

Paragraph 2 : In the holidays it’s the perfect time for students to spend more quality time with family or close friends and ask them about stuff you wanted to know or never knew about. Kids need a break from school to rest their brains and get more sleep so that when it comes to a new year or term your mind is clear and refreshed. 

Paragraph 3 : School makes students tired, they need time to have fun like playing games, doing chores, listening to music, going outside and finding new friends or something to do going around to different places. After having this break students are ready to go back to school. 

Conclusion : Holidays help kids look after themselves more and to reset everything that's on their mind.

         Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a village near a forest. Whenever she went out she wore a red cloak, So people called her Little red riding hood. One day Little Red Riding Hood was preparing lunch for her grandmother. After Little Red Riding Hood finished packing her grandmothers lunch, she skipped through the forest. But when she got closer to grandmother's house she had a weird feeling but shrugged it of and knocked on the door, grandmother looked a little different too.

“What great big sharp teeth you have grandma” said Little Red Riding Hood, “What great big ears you have” Little Red Riding Hood said a little worried, Grandmother nodded and said “oh, sorry if I scared you, I just have a little cold” so then grandmother invited her into the house to have a cup of tea, But she noticed something a little different inside grandmothers room. Her clothes were everywhere and usually grandmother always keeps her house clean and tidy, That’s when she noticed that grandmothers skin was furry and dark.

So Little Red Riding Hood had to come up with an excuse to leave the house and ask for help, so she told grandmother she was going to use the bathroom.

She quickly ran to the bathroom, luckily there was a back door on the other side of the bathroom, she tried her hardest to not make a loud fuss but she couldn’t help but shake so then she ran out into the forest and back to her village, where she found her grandmother and told her everything.

How to be a good leader.

Introduction: A good leader is. Someone who works hard on
what their doing and shows respect to other people,
a leader is a person that is in charge of people,
and who is responsible for what their doing for an example
if someone is doing the wrong thing you either stop them or tell an adult.

A leader is a person who helps you when your stuck on something and don’t know what to do.

To be a good leader you need
to show how much respect and how responsible you are,
you need to be respecting other people so you can show the teachers how responsible you can be.
